Yet again, our nation is hurting. Last night, Jacob Blake was shot in the back multiple times by law enforcement in Kenosha, WI. He is currently being treated for life-threatening injuries and we are praying for his recovery.

While we await the results of the investigation, we cannot wait for our leaders to act. We need to rein in the use of force and consistently hold the police accountable to ensure that not another person is needlessly injured or killed by law enforcement.

I join @GovEvers in standing against the excessive use of force and immediate escalation when engaging with Black Wisconsinites and I thank him for demanding action, accountability, and empathy.
