When I said the tracks are busy behind the old homestead of my grandparents and mom in Batavia, NY, I meant it. A couple hours and 4 #trains and I still run to the fence to watch each one :)

My 101 year old mom tells the story of the "hobos" who would stop at the farm from the trains for a meal during the Depression. Her mom would make them sit out under a tree away from the house, she would place a meal on the doorstep and they could come and get it

This will never get old for me. It is right behind my grandparents house, on the main rail line from Buffalo eastward to New York City. Ever since I can remember, I would run to the tracks and watch the trains go by. My grandfather worked for New York Central.
