I didn't buy a Tesla to save the climate, I bought it for its tech and performance. Here's why.

Ok, lets talk about EVs. How much mining is required to make an EV battery? Lithium brines typically contain less than 0.1% lithium, so that entails some 25,000 pounds of brines to get the 25 pounds of pure lithium needed to fabricate a single battery. #GreenEnergy 🧵

Stunningly bad take by Zeihan. Disappointing.

There are so many layers of how Peter Zeihan manages to be wrong in such a short clip that we are in awe. “The issue is until we solve the fuel containment issue on the back end once it’s spent.” That is already💩, but he keeps going…🤦‍♀️🧵 twitter.com/i/status/16129

Educate yourself about things. Study hard what interests you the most. Don't worry about what others think of you, that's none of your business. Train your mind to think, doubt, and question. That's how you grow. 🧠

This is the craziest tweet on this site. OpenAI engineer calculates the cost to build a Google killer and comes to $50m for the embedding. $50m for a ChatGPT that knows everything that’s on the internet, almost instantly. Unbelievable. twitter.com/BorisMPower/st…

I've been thinking a lot about Binance, and while it's not the same kind of house of cards as the cefi lenders or FTX, in my opinion it's very much a confidence game. The CZasino is replete with uneconomic usage incentives, all propped up by BNB. $BNB goes down, Bye-bye-nance.

The FLYWHEEL SCHEME has been the dominant business model in “crypto” “cefi” from the past three years. It was as dirty as ICOs, maybe worse in wealth destruction and delay of Bitcoin adoption. Major perpetrators: FTX/Alameda Celsius Crypto dotcom Nexo Babel Voyager and more

This bill would make writing open-source code for wallets, or running open-source nodes, something that only money services businesses can do. It probably 1) won't pass and 2) probably won't withstand a 1st Amendment challenge if it does pass.

Want to know what it's like to deal with some journalists who "cover" the Intel and NatSec communities at the highest level, but actually serve more like mouthpieces of the permanent security state? Here's a story about how wrong they can be without consequences. Thread...
