Wouldn't proclaiming himself young and vibrant also be a sign of dementia?
Yes-I’ve seen this multiple times
Is there a phase where the loss of inhibition feels invigorating?
From what I have been reading, loss of inhibition is a common sign of dementia, and eventually becomes chronic and awkward for everybody around the affected person.
My mom had PSP. They fall over without warning and have a surprised look—related to impairment in thecbrain tract controlling upgaze—movement, breathing, speech impaired.
Sorry to hear that Sheila
It was terrible to watch. My mom told us—translated by her aide—it was tougher than we knew,?and we knew it was bad. Dx was delayed, concealed from us. No tx is effective.
I’m sorry. We had a family member with PSP. It’s so hard on everyone.
A neurologist would suspect his leaning forward is leg muscle weakness possibly due to spinal problems. He is uncomfortable on steps and can’t walk across the street to Blair House. Unfortunately this is not fatal
Dammit!
PSP is a horrible disease. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.
It really is
his Proprioception is failing. I know how that feels post Traumatic brain injury, when I go into seizure or dissociative fugue state, I lose my Proprioception (my body's ability to stabilize my self in orientation to space) I can fall over without stabilizing
It looks like PSP, but mine is due to my non- Progressive failure of proprioception due to "Drop" seizure and "dissociative fugue" states.
So you had a TBI? (Not prodding for details, just making sure I understand.)
Yes, I was assaulted by an inmate at the maximum security forensic psychiatric facility where I worked as floor nursing staff. it was an attempted murder.
I was set up by a fellow rogue staff who set me up by manipulating the severely mentally ill inmate, I wone my case, I am now retired. I can no longer drive, I have seizure disorder, mild receptive and expressive aphasia. as well as Dissociative fugue state
*won my case*
Holy cow. I'm sorry you had to endure that!
It happens when working in a dangerous environment
