    ,Those organisations who have already removed restrictive visiting & have established this culture of openness & partnership-working, report the clear benefits this work has brought to patients & carers and to the participating organisations, blog 05/01/18

    I am going to say what I think which is that with evidence such as this (+ falls reduction etc etc) that NHS leadership fails in its duty by leaving 24 hour welcome to (willing) carers as the subject of a campaign. Should be expected practice everywhere.

    From today, local authorities in England must take “all reasonable steps” to prevent and relieve homelessness. Greater Manchester’s Homelessness Action Network recently published a radical plan to end rough sleeping by 2020.

    Today the comes into force. The Act places new legal duties on English councils so that everyone who is homeless or at risk of homelessness will have access to meaningful help. Thank you to all campaigners, charities and MPs who made it happen!
