    Not just because I started my working life as a botanist/ecologist, but I’d like to know what’s happening to planktonic diatoms that provide the bulk of food at the bottom of the food web. There will be excellent museum collections including fossil specimens that can be compared.

    Elegant work with very worrying findings: "Nano CT-scans of selected equatorial Pacific Ocean planktonic foraminifera, have revealed that all modern specimens had up to 76% thinner shells than their historic counterparts."

    Spending the evening with my neighbours who are German, Portuguese, Belgian and French. Married to a beautiful Italian . Drinking Italian fizz and munching on European grub, whilst our international & outward looking kids play happily together. We will miss E.U
