Dear YouTube, I am concerned about the new rules regarding content that is considered appealing to kids. Arts, crafts, DIYs, and even toy customizations are not exclusively child-content and should not be considered as such just because they are playful. (1/10)

I urge you to reconsider finer arts and crafts and customizations as ART and educational for all ages. The manner in which content is presented should be more important than the item itself. A Squishy can be played with, but it can also be turned into a new work of art. (2/10)

A craft kit review can be played with (for children), yes, but it can also be a great way for consumers (those with purchasing power) to know how to save their money. THE MANNER the content is presented, should matter more than what is on screen. (3/10)

Dolls in a video can be played with, but Doll Customization is also transformative art and expression. Please, do not put all creators in the same boat. Where does the line cross over from geek fandom celebration, to child-appealing? (4/10)

Context and presentation matter…not just the subject. Please consider some of my favorite creators, who are artists, crafters, and DIYers who would suffer because their talents and passions would be considered “childish” from these changes. (5/10)

And on a more personal note, I've had a YouTube account for more than TEN YEARS now. I'm just starting to find interest in becoming a creator to turn my passions into a career and this news is highly discouraging. (6/10)

Please reconsider your strategy, many creators have excellent suggestions that I believe would help fix this issue without the backlash if you would consider listening to them as they are a valued part of your community. There has to be a workaround. (7/10)

One of the highest subscribed channels on the platform grew from gaming roots, now gaming could be lumped into this category. Please acknowledge the people who have made their content family friendly to suit you, they've worked hard for you, won't you do the same for them? (8/10)

Your company name is YOUTube, but there doesn't seem to be much focus on the YOU part for creators anymore. How much does a creator have to strip away before it's not them anymore just to be able to save the career they invested in and worked hard for? (9/10)

The first half of this thread is thanks to @NerdECrafter, I slimmed it down a bit to make it more general and so I could add in my own opinions. @YouTube @TeamYouTube I sincerely hope you take the time to read this and take better action. (10/10)
