    Illinois nonprofits take care of our seniors, ensure our children are safe and support individuals with disabilities. Imposing a new tax on these organizations would have only risked disrupting vital services that Illinoisans rely upon every day.

    Today, after years of work, IL ended cannabis prohibition. These pics include some of the hundreds of people who left their mark on this historic piece of legislation - no state has done this legislatively & none with the focus on equity & restorative justice like we did.

    1/2: I think what we all know from the recent outrage over the IL GOP post & the Kankakee County Chairman's post is that these memes are shared far and wide across all political spectrums. So no one should be clutching their pearls like they haven't seen it before.

    Next year, our office re-assesses the South Suburbs, but commercial data there is lacking. Communities with financial challenges need SB 1379 to make their assessments more equitable. Thank you to and for supporting this.
