It's great, although somewhat incomplete. The sentence "...not getting hung up about who feels what exactly and why" creates me a hung up. :)

1/ I agree with most of this, but intentions themselves are ideas about what you intend to do. So, I think it's useful to demarcate them using 'evil'. After all, they represent a different class of phenomena which isn't present in non-person phenomena.
-
2/ I think one can criticise intentions objectively using our best explanations and come to moral conclusions prior to any tests.

Can some "evils" be due to reality like the possibility of vacuum decay, and not have a solution due to the laws of physics? Can nature/reality be malicious, or is always a case of lacking knowledge?
-
“Malicious” isn’t the word I’d use (the intent thing again). But there might be especially tricky problems. I guess that kind of thing is on a par with high energy particles ripping spacetime, causing a black hole & swallowing Earth. Possible? People of the future will solve it.

Love it. Evil intentions must also simply be a lack of knowledge, a mistake as it were. If you truly *want* to kill people, your moral theories are simply really, really bad ones, objectively. *You* the *person* can never be evil in a fundamental way (what would that even mean?).
-
All it could mean is that one reliably creates explanations that generate more suffering and bring more evil into the world. But that would mean predicting the content of future knowledge. An impossibility.

There are bugs in the program that can cause bad behavior, too. Certain hormones can induce homicidal or violent behavior. At least I've read of these cases. Perhaps categorize as irrational decisions?
-
Yeah, I don’t buy that thing about “induce” at all. It’s on a par with how some people get violent with alcohol. Some fall asleep. Others laugh. It depends on *your ideas* about how to react to the new sensation. I doubt the tumour forced Charles Whitman to do what he did either.
