    Happy to be a small part of this with

    We are migrating to and found some blockers. Very pleased to see quick resolution and fixes in the TypeScript compiler, making future JS -> TS easier! Hopefully we can provide guidance when we are finished, for others who want to do the same.

    People know that Facebook builds and uses React Native. But did you know that Microsoft has been working closely with us for a while because they use React Native for a TON of products. This is only their mobile apps, doesn’t even include their desktop apps using RN

    Having a bit of late night fun in the TS compiler and I stumbled upon the gem that is `FlowNode.__debugToString`. It print the CFA graph for a node. Definitely a game changer with regard to my understanding of CFA magic 😁

    A lot of people have been excited about type-only imports/exports coming in TypeScript 3.8. The truth is that you shouldn't really need them most of the time (or maybe even ever).

    I think I’m a convert to Mono, this page is a really great way to explain the advantages to using a programming-oriented font. This font definitely raises the bar. And a great license too 👍🏾

    SO User: ! is forbidden in TS since TS 3.4 Me: Why would you say that ? SO User: There is a lint rule to forbid it. Me: !?! 🤦‍♂️ Opting into every possible lint rule might not always be the best idea. Also don't mistake lint rules for language rules.

    I made a suggestion to TypeScript for "optional globals". This would be really useful in preventing accidental misuse of `window` and `global` in code shared between client/server. If this sounds useful, please chime in!

    Using const by default is a good idea with TypeScript because it will narrow the type. let foo = 'foo'; // type: string const bar = 'bar'; // type: 'bar'
