I like to focus on what matters: company research, and reading investing books/letters/memos. All of the following is a complete waste of time, and should be avoided: 1. Reading market news 2. Reading macroeconomic forecasts 3. Checking your stocks any more than once per week
How often do you check? I'm so repulsed by the uselessness of the activity that I've been thinking about setting specific price notifications and then checking in once per month. If a notification is hit, I won't look into it until after hours, good or bad.
