It's as Buffett once said: "Any good investment idea can be put Into one paragraph." I believe Buffett and Lynch are referring to conveying an understanding, which should be easily explainable for the investor.
So it's not about the simplicity of analyses. An analysis can be complex, but if you can't explain it simply you shouldn't own it. I believe this is what they're on about.
