I wouldn't be bothered if I never checked market news again. If anything, I'd say my chances at achieving out-performance would improve. I listen to SA's Wall Street Breakfast once or twice per week, but I usually glaze over for most of it. I don't find the activity useful.
I totally agree. I've no idea what's going on in most of the world. I don't read global or national news. Munger and Buffett might disapprove, but most of the news promotes "shock-effect," which is more of an emotional drain than anything. Literature like the Economist is better.
