Lazy and stupid question: Is there a single book that summarizes the key takeaways from these or is it one of these, which is the book of books?

Not a stupid question! Sadly no. The list encapsulates several styles of value investing. The Manual of Ideas is the last I'd read, as it greatly elaborates on many of the books on the list. Are you new to investing?

By Basant Maheshwari? I haven't actually! I've been looking to find a first-hand account of investing in India though. Are there any other books that are good for Indian markets that you'd also recommend? Thanks!

One Up on Wall Street is what opened my eyes to the world of investing and financial markets. Reading it was like waking up for the first time. I'm incredibly grateful that Peter Lynch wrote that book, along with Beating the Street. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful books! The story of Dabasir is quite dear to me, so much so that I have an artist's rendition of Babylon as my phone's wallpaper. IMO, my list is a broad toolkit for the active investor, though it's painfully lacking some other darlings due to space constraints.

An equally wonderful list. If I had more space.. It'd probably be more like "20 books to read five times."

Survivorship bias alert! Just kidding... People should stick to what makes logical sense to them. For me, that's business-minded investing. Couldn't tell you how well it's worked for me, given that I haven't been at it for 30 years. Get back me to then ;-).
