3/3. One reason we are in racial and medical crisis is that government and corporate employees, such as police officers and doctors, are banned from speaking to the press. This is the reason I wrote my piece in http://medium.com , on why the
@nytimes was wrong to publish Senator Cotton's manifesto of lies, hate, and fabrication. Also, why I support@SenWarren proposal to hold social media to libel/slander standards. -

@TimothyDSnyder, I support the free exchange of ideas, open media. What I don't support is giving voice to hate. We have done too much of the former, and not enough of the latter for too long. It's long past time for a change. - 2 more replies

The right to free speech has to do with the government being prohibited from preventing people from speaking. But any private company can censor and edit all they want.
