Noting that the healthcare workforce has so many immigrants may lead some folks to say see they took our jobs. Arguments against it might be more effective if we can speak to that.

Dan, there is no human being in the U.S. who could not get a health-care or nursing home job unless they had a criminal record. They give special visas to foreign nurses to get them here. U.K. is airing a TV ad right now highlighting the same thing--all the immigrants serving.

True. And we definitely need it right now. But also it's because the US does not have enough medical schools. A lot of US workers would have better jobs with more training opportunities and cheaper costs.
