Haven't stopped thinking bout this since I read. Live in TX & have had fair share of interactions w/ CBP agents. In places like the Rio Grande Valley, they used to be seen as part of community. That's changing. Now seen as enemy. CBP suicide rates are up. Well done,

While absolutely true, not many people can afford quitting their job. He too has a child to feed. Of course, the system is designed around this knowledge. And who is to say he won't? Talking about it may be the first step. Or not, of course. I'm well aware.
