    I looked into Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill expecting it to be overhyped/DOA and found the opposite. It’s on the fast track, has the support of DeSantis/powerful media figures like , and would put gay teachers + kids like mine in the closet.

    Tim, , and are all very reasonable people who do their best to avoid hyperbole. All three of them are saying the same thing: this is a very bad bill.

    Good piece from here. The goal is to make schools so afraid of getting sued that they go out of their way not to hire LGBTQ people. As they have been implemented elsewhere, these laws are about trying to drive LGBTQ people out of public life.
