    Let me be very clear: this is going to be bloody hard to do. But it can be done. The sooner we start, the lower the cost. And just imagine the costs of inaction, of horrible storms like in Limone, or another monthly Gota Fría. Those costs are huge

  2. In the negotiations the Commission will work to ensure priorities are reflected. We must rebalance our relationship with nature. After all climate change and biodiversity loss are the biggest threat to farmers’ livelihoods. The must be able to help them face it.

  3. The needs to play its part in tackling climate change and biodiversity loss; the current CAP has been unable to deliver this kind of change. Ecoschemes and their funding are an important first step, but more steps must follow in agriculture and along the food chain.

    We also need to better protect our natural from chemical . As a priority, we will ban PFAS. This is a so-called forever chemical: highly persistent, causing enormous health and environmental damage. Its use will only be allowed when absolutely essential.
