Yeah and it’s really lazy work as well as dishonest. Journalism is such an important thing, it’s sad to see so many in the field abuse their power. Keep doing what you are doing Tim, individual reporting is the future of journalism and you are right at the front of the trend.

I was actually impressed when I saw BBC calling her a racist, but I certainly didn't see that stealth editing coming... Guess I still got a lot to learn.
-
The BBC have a bit of form for it domestically... especially in stories relating to Scotland, where nearly *all* stories have comments disabled. Huh, funny that. The same restriction is not applied to the other sub-sections of the BBC dealing with other parts of the UK.
-
Wow, I didn't know that. Here in Brazil, BBC used to be the most reliable and neutral source of information up until recently. I don't know how, when or why, but it is slowly becoming just like every other leftist ideologue "news" portal.

Lol. "Can't be racist, racism is prejudice plus power" People say things, like they're wizard spells that invoke some kind of magic whether or not you know what the words mean.
-
This kinda stuff terrifies me, man It's so Orwellian and almost nobody is standing up to it.. and it's so easy to point out that such a position doesn't remotely approach a logically and morally consistent, nor defensible, position. And yet, silence. Exceptionally dangerous.
-
The number of people that buy into it is a little freaky and depressing. The reason that more people are standing up against it is that most people are apathetic and don't know. Leftism has been indoctrinated into kids since childhood, like a religion. Not 1 a week, 5x a week.

So the
@BBC 's position is now: You can't be racist to white people you can only be inflammatory. You have backed yourself into a logically inconsistent corner. What a hill to die on. - 1 more reply

whatever happened to the word, "news" being acutally about things that are ... new? The BBC likes to retroactively change their reporting, so they arent really a "news" organization at all. They're more like a Ministry of Truth.

The person who called it racist was probably fired by the gestapo for implying it constituted as racism vs the whole power + privilege schlock.

In that case just webarchive the story and link that. Archives don't get stealth edited.
-
Journalists often cite original links out of professional courtesy.
-
Outlets with stories that are rewritten several times without any indication of it do not deserve this courtesy IMO.
