    Riot police have once again advanced on PolyU campus. After 'persuading' protestors to leave via YCore (the remaining route), police teargassed & arrested leaving protestors. Another group of arrested was asked to squat.

    Chilling reporting on on Chinese Communist Party. I’m proud to live in the democratic west where we do understand the value of human rights — and refuse to create a false dichotomy between security and freedom. A free society is a secure society.

    In private, Chinese leaders displayed a fixation with radical Islam that went beyond their public remarks. The documents show they worried about terrorist attacks abroad, and President Xi urged officials to study Americans' response to the Sept. 11 attacks.
