I also laid a wreath at the memorial to those who lost their lives at the 2004 bombing of the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, and reflected on the more recent challenges of serving overseas during a pandemic.

And Australian technology and private sector expertise can contribute to the peace and prosperity of Africa.

The mining sector plays a significant role in supporting economic development & green energy transition. The room was buzzing with delegates from Africa exploring new partnerships with 🇦🇺.

This week’s Africa Down Under Mining Conference is a major event for our Africa partnerships.

Africa matters. By 2050, #Africa is projected to represent a quarter of the world’s population, and by 2060, 1.1 billion Africans will have entered the middle class.
