Cross platform with PC had existed for years. One of the reasons it didn't become popular was due to console players being absolutely bdemolished by PC players. Also it make zero sense for a company to lose profits just to allow a few families to enjoy this experience.

They are businesses. That means make money. They ain't gonna prioritize a minority of players wanting to have the ability to play cross console if it means millions lost in profit. It would be absurd to think they would tbh. Sure I'd love it, but it ain't gonna happen.

We’re in the Information age carrying socially connected supercomputers in our pockets yet the platform companies have some sort of 1800’s railroad barron lawyers writing their business plans. It’s madness.
