The dumb Visual C++ sizeof(int)<sizeof(void*) decision means some arrays can't safely be indexed by int.
It's a nice theory; I just wish that type were named int, and not _int_ptr_really_safe_for_indexing_arrays_we_swear_t.

This is still mandated by Standard and has nothing to do with Visual C++.
