What are the attributes of an ideal programming language if computers were infinitely fast, and we designed for coding productivity only?

It deserves a large article, not a Twitter post.I'll do it once complete the prototype.I'm still exporting new ideas, but it is very promising

an explorable and tweakable visualization of all internal state in realtime as I’m building the code, all changes versioned + rewindablepic.twitter.com/skn77fPeR3

Do these infinitely fast computers also have infinite memory? In that case: ditch Garbage Collection!

And if you don't have infinite memory, you can still perform GC on every statement and now have automatic management of all resources.

It’d be a conversation where you as the “decider” would be asked a series of questions. You could be as broad or specific as you wanted.

Reviewer-Oriented programming language : make code easier to read (as opposed to easier to write/produce).

I'm surprised no one has mentioned highly robust edit-and-continue. Even better: full system state capture with rewind ability.

Garbage collection, no manual memory management. More functional-style data manipulation instead of in-place. Basically Common Lisp :)
