The position many coder interviewers take is way to extreme, something has to give.

In fact, some of the worst whiteboard interview horror stories I've heard have come from Epic.

We have very mixed feelings about this bit, but feel it helps distinguish some cases of rigor vs smarts vs tendency for quick hacks.

There's never a good reason to make someone feel interrogated and belittled, which was the biggest issue with these interviews.
