Macros and quasiquote/unquote is vexing. Is there a better paradigm than Scheme? Meta OCaml avoids the hard problem.

Implication: expressions, text, and macros should be syntactically distinct and interoperate orthogonally.

But that assumes one unified language, versus designing markup for annotation and tempering of arbitrary languages.
