A desirable property is the syntax of any delimited subexpression (text or code) to be independent of surrounding context.

Yeah, I wanted to go content agnostic to an extreme degree (more so than anything else I've seen) but still feel natural.

E.g. there's no whitespace normalization or anything else like that. That's up to the application, based on needs.
