I believe that the future's billion-user AR/VR devices will be evolutionary descendants of today's PC VR, not today's mobile VR or AR.
Windows Holographic is unnecessarily locked to UWP as part of Microsoft's platform lockdown attempt. Gross!

yep, butnothing currently competes with the platform, so it would still be nice to be able to work with it in unreal. UE is behind in AR
