Has anyone exposed CSS-style patterns within a full programming language? In particular, composable, powerful side-effect-free matching.
Perhaps like Haskell pattern guards (https://downloads.haskell.org/~ghc/5.00/docs/set/pattern-guards.html …) which are great for matching, but don't compose.

I think the paper that introduced pattern guards in Haskell had "transformational patterns" for composition.
