I'm measuring V8 JavaScript exceptions to be ~500x slower than regular branches, vs 5x in C++ and Haskell. I wonder why.

I'm measuring 200K throws/sec on a 4GHz CPU = 20Kops/throw, in a simple integer loop. Is bailout this bad?
