Zero Knowledge Proof question: Is there a protocol for proving you have a file with a given hash, without revealing the file?

Not aware of one but I would try this:send a short random string, request to add it to the file & get the resulting hash 1/2

back, you send out different random strings for each client so only clients with the correct file can generate the new hash

Can you say what problem you are trying to solve? It sounds like format preserving encryption may be helpful
