The Unreal Engine 5 demo on PlayStation 5 was the culmination of years of discussions between Sony and Epic on future graphics and storage architectures. The Nanite and Lumen tech powering it will be fully supported on both PS5 and Xbox Series X and will be awesome on both.

Commodore 64 games are more fun than most of today's games with the exception of Animal Crossing. Nearly every PS4 game looks like every other FPS anyway, can't see PS5 being any different. Ooo graphics... Keeps the Fanboys happy at least..

Fun is the key word, isn't it. I still have more fun with Pac Man than I do a lot of modern games that cost millions of dollars and years to develop. But, I guess there are so many factors in play there I don't want to make generalisations!

I was with you until this announcement, but this is simply unacceptable. To drop support for the C64 at this point is just shameful. I can't believe you of all people Tim have turned your back on the mighty C64 at a time when it was perfectly possible to make Lumen work on it.

[somewhere, a C64 demo scene coder furrows their brow, rolls up their sleeves] "we'll just see about that..."

I’d be very disappointed if this doesn’t happen.
