So I busted out my IBM PC keyboard model M. I wrote ZZT and Unreal Engine 1 on this thing. With apologies to Moore's Law, I gotta say - 1984 was peak keyboard. The code just types out better with these keys.pic.twitter.com/3j0V3eujqt

I started on a 90 MHz Pentium in 1995 and ended on a 200 MHz PentiumPro in 1998 with 1GB, which was insane at the time. The keyboard had already seen 14 years of use by that time.

a 1GB in 1998 would be like a 1PB today. Wow. BTW, what don't we have a PB yet?

It isn't that crazy, my first computer was a Pentium 200Mhz, 64MB of RAM, 2 GB HDD and 4MB GPU. We already had CDs in 1998 (650MB), so 1GB or 2 GB HDD wasn't crazy.
