Epic will stand firm with all developers in pushing for fair iOS and Google Play terms for everyone, will not accept special revenue sharing or payment terms just for ourselves.

The Epic Games Store gives developers and publishers freedom to use their own in-app purchasing systems tax-free, or ours, or both...
-
You rob market agents of their freedom to use whichever store/platform they desire. You're no different than Apple, the only difference is that store-level control over distribution benefits you, but when a bigger player (like apple) does the same thing to you, you cry injustice

@TimSweeneyEpic is the Epic games store going to come to mobile as well? Honestly curious :) -
Yes, we've announced the Epic Games Store will come to Android, and we want to come to iOS too. However, its release is not imminent.

It's vital that video games provide OPEN and UNIFORM access for all players. Given massive platform deals, there's intense pressure to divide & conquer through backroom exclusive deals. That would re-create the mess of the console industry all over again. We must reject that!
-
buying a console costs you $500 and downloading a store a few minutes. Also consoles and their exclusives are like the programs a cable TV builds for itself, some of the console costs are only justified with these exclusives and many exclusives are first party games
