Epic is wholeheartedly supporting NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW service with Fortnite and with Epic Games Store titles that choose to participate (including exclusives), and we’ll be improving the integration over time.

Cloud streaming services will also be key players in ending the iOS and Google Play payment monopolies and their 30% taxes. Apple has decreed that these services aren’t allowed to exist on iOS, and therefore aren’t allowed to compete, which is megalomaniacal and won’t stand.

I see publisher and Dev friendly where is consumer friendly in that?
-
GFN is much more consumer-friendly than Stadia for example. Not only you can play games anywhere, even if service ends you can still just install them on your PC since you own them. This is the only approach I can get behind.

Still not sure about the "choice to participate" portion. We bought the game on Epic/Steam, we have our license, we are playing on cloud hardware. Shouldn't matter the location of the hardware.

Technically, and legally, Geforce Now is redistributing the game. So, developers have the right to refuse to allow them to.
