It’s the most developer-friendly and publisher-friendly of the major streaming services, with zero tax on game revenue. Game companies who want to move the game industry towards a healthier state for everyone should be supporting this kind of service!

Cloud streaming services will also be key players in ending the iOS and Google Play payment monopolies and their 30% taxes. Apple has decreed that these services aren’t allowed to exist on iOS, and therefore aren’t allowed to compete, which is megalomaniacal and won’t stand.

Just waiting till later this year when Google is lobbying against Apple for blocking Stadia from iOS, while Google blocks GeForce NOW, xCloud, and Fortnite from Google Play, and this whole rotten structure begins collapsing in on itself.

what happened to needing exclusivty?

We’ve been opening up Epic Games Store titles through many other venues since early last year, like purchasing on Humble, and playing through GeForce NOW and other streaming services. The purpose of all of these arrangements is to improve store economics for all participants.

I love the idea of Geforce Now, but it's a little obnoxious that they just support Steam titles of the same exact game that I own on Epic game store. Obviously not Epics fault, but really hope this changes.

The integration between Epic and GFN will improve over time to automate this for all participating titles.

glad to hear your support. i'm very much enjoying gfn. curious if you can speak more on situations like bl3, which is currently exclusive to epic, being pulled. you as epic obvious support gfn, but 2k sees it differently. who decides what in these cases? looks like the studios?

For all services that the Epic Games Store integrates with (such as game purchasing on Humble, and streaming on GeForce NOW), it's up to each developer or publisher to decide whether to participate. We encourage it, but don't require it.
