There is no way you came close to the character limit with your tweet. You could include "20-30%" and "80/20 to 70/30" without risk. Your choice not to do so is continually misleading, particularly for the context you introduced of big publishers. And that is telling. 2/3

As is your continued ignorance of basic quality and added-value at a store and launcher level. The likes of Metro Exodus' post-exclusivity sales show Steam is VERY relevant. Many PC gamers are willing to wait and to pay extra for quality EGS doesn't and may never provide. 3/3

Actually 4/3 since I'm crazy. "Ask anyone, would they rather sell their stuff on a store that took 30% of sales or 12%?" I don't have anything to sell or the time to make it. I'd sell on Steam and GOG but not EGS, because my customers would be gamers and I don't hate them.

On steam, all game sales will experience 30% cut, only tiny percentage out of 30K titles reach 20% level. Even that is still higher than epic cut. So I don't need to include them. Epic will improve in terms of features, so I don't need to include store features.

Tim's goal is to make 12/88 as new standard for store tax. He don't need all game companies to join epic to reach that. If egs manages to snatch just 30% from valve total revenue, I'm sure your lord gaben will consider to reduce steam tax.

So he wants to be a knock-off store that offers less for cheaper. Nothing wrong with that so long as you stop pretending it's not and won't always be worse. But feel free to retreat to petty name-calling to make your points. It actually helps me lol.

If you think egs is bad because of your steam fanboys mindset that all good store need to be like steam, then it doesn't matter even if the store can launch you to space, it will always be bad for you. Epic is good store for people who want to buy and play games.

If EGS started doing ANYTHING that no other store did, giving a new benefit to gamers, it wouldn't be an objective downgrade. It would actually be worth taking seriously, and I would. But it doesn't. I know that's a bitter pill to swallow but that's the situation at the moment.

They did with https://dev.epicgames.com/en-US/services . With this, you dont even need egs to play with steam or gog friends.

You do know crossplay isn't unique to a service that's separate to EGS anyway? Steam store pages even have a special category for it: "Cross-Platform Multiplayer". You can't find games with that detail on EGS! 1/2https://store.steampowered.com/search/?category2=27 …

Good point, we need to add a tag for this on EGS.

You need to add tags at all. And better categories, last I saw EGS had like ten and one of those was "Windows" lol. While you're at it, you might want to label games that support cloud saving. I've heard a couple games are but you can't tell that from EGS.
