Copyright grants every creator a monopoly right on their creative works. How they choose to use that right is up to them; they can give it away, or sell it on one store, or sell it on many stores. There would be no economy supporting game development if this weren’t the case.

The economical analogy actually holds in his example. Brand != Supply. Exclusivity is about blocking supply from competitors so consumers have to go through you as the distributor. Different brands of burger is all the same ingredients, whereas different games are not.

I also can't make my own Borderlands 3 when I can make my own burgers and there are MANY substitute burgers.

1/idk Here’s the thing, I use GOG galaxy 2.0 making the epic launcher less than a icon, just a place where my games are stored. In the end, as a normal consumer, the location of a games file doesn’t matter to me. But here’s the thing.

2/idk Eating at Jersey Mike’s because of the rewards program, doesn’t mean they have a monopoly over subway. And SW having better cookies doesn’t mean they have a monopoly over JM.

Cool the way you twisted my analogy doesn't hold up to the slightest scrutiny, but if it makes you feel better about your scummy business practices... cool
