When will we have public web player profiles on the Epic Store? Steam is now a full-fledged social network with forums and tons of user-generated content like guides, fanart and trading.
Should Epic build this sort of thing? If we did, we’d really want to do it in a cross-platform, cross-store way to avoid the separation of players between platforms and stores as happens with Steam, PSN, Xbox Live, and Nintendo Switch.
Valve did this before EGS was a thing, though. Heck, part of their efforts have been worsened by one of your acquisitions, dang it! :p (EAC)
I’m not following... How would a developer use Steam friends or voice in an Xbox game or Epic Games Store game? That’s the scenario Epic Online Services are designed for, as demonstrated by Dauntless.
I remember ArenaNet putting a lot of effort into breaking that barrier, but to my knowledge GW2 never made it to console. Thank goodness for market pressure. Cross platform is a very new and awesome thing and thank you for putting in the work. Goodnight Tim!

Seems like devs get the best services offered to them on Steam anyway. It's the biggest market, open to all devs (not largely ones being paid to be there), and Steamworks provides tons of features. Cross store compatibility would be nice tho, like GoG + Steam players together.
