Hmm, it seems disingenuous and icky, because the game isn't about any of these things the movie is about, in fact, it's the opposite. It just reinforces the feeling that games are not able to approach serious topics.
I think the Escape from Tarkov movies are at least a lot more honest (they are certainly way less upbeat).

Games would trivially cause emotional responses in people if we could program worlds with characters that actually responded to anything they wanted to do. Even text based ones. The ads rely on techniques from writing and film because they don't.
To me as a gamer, this just feels like false advertising
