Yikes, the creepy online ads that follow your offline real world activities finally caught up to me after successfully evading this for 5 years. It appears to be a Bluetooth information leak exploited by the Twitter app to display an Apple App Store ad.

I've never seen this on iOS because I have no apps with background mic permissions, and no apps with background GPS permissions. If multiple people are together and each has GPS enabled, then voice eavesdropping on one mic can be tied to all participants.

An important question here is how this ad tech eavesdropping data (which may often be gathered illegally) is laundered back to companies like Twitter and Apple which use the data to guide ads but presumably don't knowingly conspire in the surveillance.
