Because, ultimately, no amount of features of revenue sharing improvements could by themselves overcome the lock-in power of the $100,000,000,000 digital store monopolies each starting with over 95% marketshare. But exclusive games can and will!

This does not justify NOT creating those features, let alone committing to NEVER doing so. The fact that features is clearly a barrier to many users who otherwise wouldn't care about exclusivity should, but apparently caring about the end user is not a priority in this endeavour.

"Each person involved in gaming will have to make up their own mind on opposing either 30% or exclusives." Which one of these impacts consumers the most? The answer should be obvious. No offense, but the majority of gamers couldn't care less about revenue split.

OK you mentioned exploitive. Let's talk about Fortnite. Epic got sued over its predatory and exploitive loot box system for Fortnite. Now then, with that information how can epic be better than valve. I do not think there is much moral high ground here Obi-Wan
