Are you doing anything to encourage devs to create free trial/demo versions? Theres a billion neat looking $10-$30 games but all I get to do is watch a trailer. Yearning for the shareware days

So far I've claimed a dozen or so, but only downloaded and played 2... Now I'm wondering if the devs get paid even if the copy is never played? ...I assumed the dev took a price cut to share the loss-leader promo, but now I'm really curious. Amazing if not!
