Guys, Google can access your health data without your knowledge or consent, but family members can't get medical updates on relatives "because HIPAA" and btw, you don't own your own health record. Happy Monday. We are living in the Upside-down.

HIPAA allows third party access to health data if the third party is considered a business associate. Google has full record access to names, DOB, etc. There is no anonymizing.

There's also another service google does which is work with doctors to train AI for medical diagnostics. I think they're involved with that kind of research anyways. Were they, then it would be using an entirely different and regulated data set.
