Ah I see how my use of “anywhere” was confusing. I meant developers don’t want keys to be sold everywhere on the web by companies they don’t have a relationship with. They are generally happy to work with key resellers they trust, and are happy with keys at retail.

This is, essentially, what they're doing. If you were paying attention to their roadmap you would have noticed that integration with Humble Bundle/Store popped up out of nowhere. Thus, it was likely requested by developers or partners.

Roadmaps and timelines for delivery change on a daily/weekly/monthly basis in the real world. At the minimum, dates are a HORRIBLE measure of feature deployment. The best method is CI/CD with iterative updates. Software estimates are nearly impossible to reliably provide...

Trash? No. But definitely a ridiculous decision to put a public roadmap out into the world when they didn't have a solid process to their delivery schema. They did better when updating every two weeks/end of a sprint, but that still isn't enough for most critics. (See: convo)

Yeah, it was always a bad idea for them to have started with having target dates, even though they did put on their the the dates were subject to change. They did the right to by removing them, most good roadmaps won't put target dates.
