And if you don't believe that giving developers 88% instead of 70%, and Unreal Dev Grants, and Epic MegaGrants, and Unreal Engine and Epic Online services being freely available don't ultimately benefit consumers, you have a tenuous grip on cause and effect.

Given all that, why do you feel the need to engage in monopolistic practices? It really reeks. I was a huge fan of Epic Store and what you were trying to do, up until you started trying to lock people in with exclusives. It's a huge step back and not something I can support.

That’s very cool but what about Paragon?

"cross platform play" lol laughs in Linux which you don't support and steal games from platforms that do.

The free games and epic funded discounts are actually pretty cool. But you have to understand that the Epic launcher is simply not anywhere NEAR as good as Steam/Gog and when people can't use those launchers, they get mad. Especially when games were previously announced for them.

Like it's been over a year singe Epic Games launcher came out in full for PC, and all it got since then was a half-assed search bar, cloud saves that don't work all that well and a few other things. Still no profiles. Still no achievements. Still no shopping cart.

What about for Linux gaming? EGS still has no native Linux client, unlike Steam. Numerous games that would've come to Steam may never receive Linux versions. There's also to see what happens with the linux version of rocket league.

should be "competitive games with no ingame pay mechanics" (idk what happened to sell games without worthless "skins" DLC), and crossplatform wasn't there because of fortnite, i'm pretty sure it was a thing since Final fantsy XI (ps2/pc), and free games (humble bundle freebies)
-
And yes i do believe helping devs is good, forcing their games exclusive on PC, a platform that had multi stores before you appeared is not helping consumer, specifically when a launcher/store doesn't work properly
