Developers are paying 30% on Steam for nothing that justifies it, for getting less now than they used to when Steam did curate their store. Now developers are paying 12% on Epic and are getting far more exposure then they would get from Steam.

If one wants to hate Epic and the way we’re changing PC game distribution, it’s perfectly fine to do that based on the actual facts. It doesn’t require descending into this bizarre edge lord alternate reality where Epic financially supporting developers is “bribery”.

It's the same thing that almost ruined the Xbox brand at the launch of Xbox One. Microsoft wanted to force always online, removing our choice. You are buying exclusives, also removing our choice. MS reversed their decision and gave us the choice back.

As I was recently saying, I will never understand why lies and slander are getting so easy pass in gaming industry. Manipulation became powerful tool. It's absurd how many people are getting manipulated by completely anonymous voices with nothing to lose over internet.

Users themselves are giving the pass. For example, there is a subreddit dedicated to hating EGS, and they have been banning people for providing facts against what they say, as well as deleting posts that provide facts with evidence that goes against what they say.

You don't need to point fingers to others when it comes to being manipulative & dishonest. Verbs truthfully describing my partnership with EGS: exclusively NOT buying!
