We recently shipped a major update to product pages. Much of the current effort is on features for partner game releases, such as cross-platform friends and accounts that shipped in Dauntless, and upcoming friends overlay and mod support that's coming to other games.

Then I tell you this; why should a customer buy a game on epic instead of steam? Shouldn't the extra cut publishers get make it so games can be cheaper? Then why are they not? Borderlands 3 isn't discounted. No new AAA games are discounted at all. What's the point of

Trying to get consumers in on your idea if they legit get NOTHING from it?

Bad math, you price "elsewhere" with 0 cut. Correct question is would you pay 70$ on Steam , if you will pay 60$ on EGS or 58$ on Discord Store? Considering family sharing, workshop, play together etc. answer is yes, I would buy it on Steam. But I can't in your "multistore world"

Why would I wish to support a store that screws over indie devs when they take your deal At first it looks good but Which has the bigger user base actively buying games and not just playing fortnite Steam, so you lock indie devs from selling to large number of consumers
-
Is that why indie games like WWZ ended up selling a lot better than expected while only being on Epic? Number of total users doesnt matter, but the number of users that are exposed to a game does, and Epic gives far more exposure to games than Steam does.

It's almost 2020. What I as a consumer expect us a shopping cart, achievements, and a reasonable price. Cloud saves would be nice as well. I'm not concerned about who gets what % where. Can you meet those requirements? If not, you have no room to talk.
-
Hey, friendly neighborhood Jester here, just came to say EGS does have cloud saves. And developers can have in-game achievements (which a good amount do) which in turn Epic can use the metadata to turn over to store achievements when that feature ships. That's all I have. ;)

Because the overall number of sales will be greater? You might as well compare selling at Walmart vs selling at Kmart.

I would pay more to buy a game on steam than epic. More features makes it worth more.

Because biggest part of distribution is done by Steam. Network, API, Updates... I can understand finding the 30% too much if they not use all the features, but they are completely justified if you use the features that are provided.
