It'll be fascinating to see what Blizzard does and says today. Do they backtrack, risking the loss of billions of dollars as a result? Or do they continue supporting an authoritarian regime, alienating fans and employees in their never-ending pursuit of growth? Capitalism owns

If you are right, then any player can use the popularity of the game to make a political point, and the purpose of the game is not to wage war

Best would be not to do any business with China. They performed genocide on the Tibetan population and culture. They imprison the Uyghure. They killed and harvested organs from members of the falung gong movement.

Except it's THEIR platform, so they have the right to determine that. No one is owed a speaking platform by any private company.

They may have the legal right to do this, but when a company makes itself the speech police, it will be blamed for everything users say that isn’t censored, and will be pressured to censor by every group that disagrees with what users say. That’s an untenable position in 2019.

Let's take one step back, winners will get interviewed by media, and their opinions will be heard by more people. How are you going to ensure that everyone has the equal opportunity to express their opinion? Are you going to interview every single player, in a fortnite game?
-
Epic doesn't do the interviews as far as I know , I think that question should be towards the media not Epic. Also I don't believe that the media could be forced to interview everyone, it sounds like an unfeasible idea to me.

You are contradicting yourself. People have plenty of places to express themselves and no company can stop them from doing it. Game competitions are for creating friendly relationships between enthusiasts from all over the world, not a battleground for politic ideas.

it's a company, not a governement.
